Glossary of Terms

  • Application Status
    • In Process: Focus on Energy has received the Incentive Application and has begun the process of reviewing the it for accuracy and eligibility. Note: in times of high volume of Applications, it may take several weeks for an incentive Application that was sent to Focus to appear in this Portal, as Applications are processed in the order thy are received.
    • Exported for Payment: The incentive amount was approved by Focus on Energy, and a check will be cut during the next check run (check runs occur every two weeks).
    • Cancelled: The Incentive Application may have been cancelled for one of several reasons; the customer decided to not move forward, the Application was found to not be eligible for incentives, or the Application needed major revisions and was cancelled in order to create a new one.
    • Received. Awaiting Pre-Approval: For custom measure, which require Focus staff to review and approve, the Application is being reviewed.

  • Measure Names
    • Adjustment Measure: When an Incentive Application is processed, there are occasionally errors in the Application that need to be corrected later. Sometimes this includes sending additional incentive money. Other times this is to adjust the energy savings, and the incentive amount will be $0.00.
